Leaving your child in another person’s care can be stressful but at IPELC we make your little one’s health, safety and security our number one priority. Our goal is to go above and beyond the standard security requirements for your child to provide the best possible care.
Our security measures include:
- Number code entry system for building access for authorized staff and families only
- Monitored security cameras located in each classroom and on our playground
- Criminal background checks conducted on all staff members to ensure compliance with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS)
Our commitment to health and safety includes:
- State certification and licensing
- Monthly fire drills and bi-annual tornado drills
- Open-door policy that encourages parents to visit IPELC during hours of operation and observe their child, the center’s operations and program activities without prior approval
- Monthly communication between our licensed nurse and parents regarding immunization updates
- Certification by all staff and teachers in First Aid and CPR
- Proper hygiene, including hand-washing techniques and body care, practiced daily to reduce and eliminate the spread of germs
- Our high quality playground has Bounce Back rubber flooring to provide a safer, cleaner play space with softer landing areas
- Installation of Fingersafe® door hinges on every door to prevent little fingers from getting hurt
